Hello everyone! I’m so excited to announce that the first Writer’s Jam has officially begun! In addition to including the prompts, this post also will have some important reminders and useful links!

First things first, we now have a Discord! This should solve any communication concerns/issues we have and verified members will have first dibs on signups for future Writer’s Jams or similar literature competitions. Join the Discord here!

Up next, please review the rules and timeframe for the competition here! From the moment this News post goes live, entrants will have 48 hours to submit their pieces! Any posts submitted after September 2nd 11:59 PM (EST) will NOT be eligible for judgement and ranking!

Finally, I want to mention that multiple dozens of people have reached out, saying they weren’t in time to sign up, but still wanted to participate. The reason for this competition’s existence is to revive and celebrate writing-based art on Newgrounds, so even if you weren’t in time to be eligible for ranking or judgement, I highly encourage you to participate and submit your pieces under the same tag, creating a piece inspired by one of the three prompts! Though you will not be part of the competition, I’d love to see your pieces and see everyone’s creativity! (again, join the Discord linked above for first dibs on future writing competitions!)
